Student Worker - Athletics Ticket Office (Work-Study)Job Description:
The Athletics Ticket Office Work-Study Student Assistant provides outstanding customer service while supporting the daily operations of the Athletics Ticket Office. This position assists with ticket sales, game-day operations, customer inquiries, and administrative tasks to ensure a positive experience for fans, students, alumni, and guests. Student employees serve as ambassadors for the Athletics Department by demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and excellent customer service.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sell tickets for athletic events using the department's ticketing system.
- Process cash, credit card, and electronic payments accurately.
- Assist customers in person, by phone, and via email with ticket purchases, event information, and seating questions.
- Support game-day ticket operations, including will-call distribution, ticket scanning, and customer assistance.
- Help organize and stock ticket office supplies.
- Follow NCAA, conference, university, and Athletics Department policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Ticket Office staff.
Qualifications
- Eligible for Federal Work-Study employment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and email.
- Ability to learn ticketing software and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Hours
- Students are paid the current minimum wage for Maryland.
- Students will work a total of eight (8) hours per week.
Full Time/Part Time:
