The Business Analyst – Service Sales is responsible for building service sales data visibility, analyzing order, revenue, funnel and contract performance, and converting data into actionable insights that support service sales strategy, forecasting, business reviews and growth execution.
This position reports to the Service Sales Director and is part of the LSIG Department located in Bangalore, India and will be a full-time on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and maintain service sales dashboards, reports and performance trackers covering orders, revenue, funnel, contracts, spares, renewals and warranty conversion.
- Analyze service sales data to identify trends, gaps, growth opportunities, risks and corrective actions by region, operating company, product line and customer segment.
- Support forecast reviews, target tracking and business planning by preparing accurate, timely and data-driven analysis for service sales leadership.
- Translate data into clear insights, summaries and presentation materials for monthly reviews, growth initiatives and leadership discussions.
- Maintain data integrity by validating source data, reconciling discrepancies and ensuring consistent definitions across service sales reports and tools.
- Partner with service sales, commercial, finance, operations and regional teams to collect inputs, explain performance drivers and enable timely decision-making.
- Use analytical tools and structured problem-solving to improve funnel visibility, contract coverage, order growth, revenue performance and customer retention actions.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, statistics, engineering, data analytics, life sciences or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst, sales analyst or commercial analyst, preferably within life sciences, diagnostics, medical technology, service sales or a related B2B environment.
- Strong working proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and data visualization/reporting tools such as Power BI or similar platforms, with the ability to manage large datasets and convert analysis into actionable business insights.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work full-time on site in Bangalore, India.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Service sales analytics, commercial performance reporting, forecasting, funnel reviews or business review preparation.
- Working with scientific instruments, laboratory workflows, installed-base data, contract data or service business processes.
- Using structured problem-solving, continuous-improvement methods and data storytelling to influence commercial actions.
