The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
## Your Responsibilities
As a Part Time Student for John Deere World Headquarters located in Moline, IL or Johnston, IA you will:
- Support monthly closing responsibilities for enterprise reporting, including preparation and posting of journal entries
- Assist with the monthly review of unit financial results, including variance analysis and follow-up on questions from the business
- Prepare and distribute recurring management reporting packages, and help identify opportunities for process efficiencies
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and Power Platform tools in support of automation projects
This position is not available to students on immigration visas
## What Skills You Need
- Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Accounting, Data Analytics, Finance, others may apply
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college or university
- If currently attending a community college, must be planning to pursue a four-year degree
- Graduation date of Winter 2027 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Available to work 10-20 hours per week during the academic year (flexible to accommodate class schedule)
- Available to work 30-40 hours per week during the summer semester
- Must be able to commute to the work location as needed
- Foundational Microsoft Office knowledge, including advanced Excel skills
- Working knowledge of Power BI and Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Available to commute to a JD work location in Moline, IL or Johnston, IA year-round

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with intellectual curiosity and a willingness to ask questions
- Well organized, adaptable, and able to execute a project to plan
- General understanding of basic accounting concepts, including journal entries
- Data mining, analytics, or data visualization experience beyond coursework
- Process automation experience, or computer programming experience (Python, SQL, or similar)
- Prior exposure to a corporate finance, accounting, or reporting environment
