We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator for a temporary term of up to 18 months, to help grow our business and contribute to our future.
This position will provide critical support for recruitment activities including creating job requisitions and postings, coordinating candidate communications and interview scheduling, background and reference checks, career fair participation and other recruitment processes. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator may also independently manage assigned recruitment files.
Other highlights include:
- Coordinate recruitment activities from requisition approval through offer acceptance.
- Create and maintain job requisitions and postings within the HRIS and external recruitment platforms.
- Shortlist candidate resumes and conduct pre-screening conversations.
- Schedule candidate interviews, coordinate interview panels and other meeting logistics.
- Prepare recruitment documentation, including interview packages, resume bundles and schedules.
- Review and progress pre-employment screening activities including but not limited to reference checks, background checks, education verifications, and criminal record checks.
- Coordinate and attend Career Fairs and other recruitment related events.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, collective bargaining agreement, employment standards, and applicable legislation.
What you’ll need:
- University degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field with 1-2 years of experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS) and / or HRIS system (Workday).
- Some knowledge of recruitment, staffing, and principles of a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidential information.
