Description

SureBright (Y Combinator S24) is building the world's first AI-native warranty company. We protect what people buy, from electronics and furniture to e-bikes and home systems. Retailers, brands, installers, and shoppers across the US and Canada use our warranties and protection plans online, in store, and after purchase. AI runs through everything we do: underwriting and pricing, claims, support, merchant onboarding, checkout, growth, and how we build. As more shopping moves to AI agents, we're building for that too.

We're a small, fast team, and this is a high-ownership, "do whatever it takes" role. You'll work directly with the founders, learn the full stack of a warranty and insurance business, and ship work that reaches real merchants and shoppers right away and directly moves revenue, conversion, and retention.

What you'll own
As our Senior Product Manager, you'll take messy, high-impact problems across our customers and channels and turn them into shipped product. You'll run discovery, set the strategy, design flows with our UI/UX designer, deliver with engineering, and improve the product based on data and customer feedback.

This is a hands-on role. You'll write the PRDs, draw the flows and wireframes, and set the acceptance criteria yourself. You'll run the full loop: insight, build, launch, learn, improve.

What you'll do
1. Discovery and research

  • Find the highest-impact problems for retailers, brands, installers, and shoppers, online, in store, and after purchase
  • Talk to customers and our ops team every week, and turn what you hear into clear opportunities
  • Study the market and tools, and decide when to build, buy, or partner
  • Map workflows end to end and find where they break

2. Product definition and design

  • Write clear PRDs: goals, non-goals, user stories, edge cases, and success metrics
  • Design journeys, flows, and wireframes yourself (fast iteration over perfect pixels)
  • Define event tracking so we can measure what matters from day one
  • Work with compliance, underwriting, and claims teams so rules, disclosures, and decisions are correct and auditable

3. AI across the product

  • Decide where AI adds the most value, and where a person should stay in control
  • Define what our AI agents do, what they must never do, and when they hand off to a person
  • Write evals and set quality bars before launch, then track them after
  • Design guardrails, audit trails, and human review for decisions that affect pricing, claims, and customers
  • Work closely with AI/ML engineers on models, agent workflows, tool use, and retrieval (RAG)
  • Make sure our products work well with the AI shopping and support agents people use

4. Execution and iteration

  • Run sprint planning and delivery with engineering: clear scope, quick decisions, smart tradeoffs
  • Own release quality: acceptance criteria, QA, launch plans, and rollbacks
  • Own your product's metrics (conversion, attach rate, retention, claims cycle time, CSAT/NPS)
  • Run experiments and use data and feedback to improve quickly

AI-first expectations
You use AI tools every day to move faster and think better:

  • Research and synthesis
  • Drafting PRDs, flows, copy, and specs
  • Building working prototypes with AI coding tools, not just slides
  • Testing AI output and knowing when not to trust it

What success looks like (first 90 days)

  • You ship 1 to 2 launches that improve a core metric
  • You set up a steady rhythm of customer calls, weekly insights, and a ranked roadmap
  • Your product area has clean tracking, a dashboard, and AI quality scores we review every week
  • Engineering ships faster because your specs are clear and your decisions are quick

Who you are

  • High agency: you turn ambiguity into action without waiting for direction
  • Customer-obsessed: you enjoy talking to users and you solve the real problem
  • Strong product taste and systems thinking: you design workflows that are simple, reliable, and scalable
  • Data-driven: you define metrics, read funnels, pull your own data, and make tradeoffs fast
  • Clear communicator and original thinker: you write crisp specs, align people fast, and create better patterns instead of copying old ones

Requirements

  • 4+ years in product management (startup experience strongly preferred), or founder experience owning product end to end
  • A track record of shipping 0 to 1 products and improving them with data and feedback
  • Hands-on experience with AI or LLM products, or prototypes you built yourself
  • Comfortable writing SQL or pulling your own data
  • Full-time, in person in Gurgaon, India, 5 days a week
  • Available for regular evening calls (IST) with teams and customers in the US and Canada

Nice to have (not required)

  • Experience in e-commerce, checkout/CRO, retail or in-store, or post-purchase workflows
  • Experience in insurance, warranties, fintech, or other regulated products
  • Exposure to underwriting, pricing, or risk models
  • Experience with B2B2C products that serve both a business and its customers

This role is not for you if

  • Your PM experience is mostly project, program, or delivery management
  • You need a large team or detailed direction to get started
  • You're looking for a remote role

Why this role is special

  • Real breadth: every customer type, every channel, and AI in every part of the business, in one seat
  • Your work changes the company's trajectory, not just a feature
  • Career accelerant: if you perform, your scope and title will grow quickly

How to Apply

  • Make sure your profile is up to date and includes your LinkedIn link.
  • Answer every application question. Applications with missing answers won't be reviewed.
