This role requires physical activity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform construction, maintenance, and repair work on public buildings, facilities, roads, and groundsOperate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and light/heavy equipmentAssist with installation and repair of signage, utilities, and public safety structuresConduct routine inspections of village property to identify maintenance needsPerform seasonal duties including snow removal, lawn care, and cleanupFollow all safety procedures and municipal standardsRespond to maintenance requests and emergencies when neededMaintain accurate records of work performed and materials used Qualifications Required:Prior experience in construction, maintenance, facility operations, or related fieldAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditionsStrong knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety practicesReliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyValid driver’s license Preferred:Experience with municipal/public works maintenanceCertifications in equipment operation or safety trainingCarpentry, plumbing, or electrical experience Salary Range$18–$33 per hour, depending on experience and certifications.
