Job Title:
Finance Manager
Job Purpose:
Our client is seeking a Finance Manager with experience operating in a multi-entity or multinational environment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the SADC markets, particularly South Africa, Namibia and Botswana, as well as experience working with Drive (Keyloop) or a similar ERP system. Advanced Power BI and business intelligence reporting skills are essential, along with experience in financial consolidations and multi-jurisdiction tax compliance. Previous experience within the automotive, mobility or vehicle rental industry will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities & Skills:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory and Group financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, the Companies Act, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and review of annual financial statements across all Group entities.
- Manage external financial statement audits and other statutory audits.
- Ensure the accurate and timely submission of corporate income tax, VAT, and other statutory tax returns.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Group Finance Reporting team to drive accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Enhance financial reporting, management information, and business intelligence capabilities.
- Review and strengthen financial controls, reporting processes, and governance frameworks.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements within the finance function.
- Provide senior management with accurate financial analysis, insights, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance requirements, and Group financial standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification or membership (CA(SA), AGA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial reporting, taxation, and finance management.
- At least 3 years' experience leading and developing finance teams.
- Strong knowledge of statutory reporting requirements and IFRS.
- Proven experience managing external audits and regulatory reporting.
- Excellent analytical, financial reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
