About the role:

We’re on the lookout for a driven and tenacious Account Director to provide a sales service to a designated group of clients and independent agencies. You will be responsible for managing the proactive sales conversations amongst our client set, responding to briefs, as well as driving new business opportunities by selling creative advertising solutions across our portfolio. This is a 12-month contract role. 

 

A Day in the Life:

Whilst there’s no typical day in the dynamic world of media, you can expect your role to involve the following:

 

• Maintain revenue performance requirements
• Agree and work towards weekly KPIs
• Maintain pro-active strategy documents, focusing on product revenue requirements split out by pillar
• Constantly strive to achieve balanced exposure across Auckland marketplace.
• Work closely with GSM to understand your agency/ territory and educate/promote JCDecaux collateral as directed.
• Maintain high performance deadlines on response to brief.
• Educate clients with new products to market, short, medium- and long-term product opportunities.
• Identify and implement strategies to grow share on existing advertisers’ budgets.

 

 

About You:

• Proven experience in sales, account management, ideally within media, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Exceptional relationship builder with credibility in the NZ media market
• Strong commercial acumen, including understanding of yield, inventory management and rate integrity.
• Confident communicator and presenter, able to influence senior stakeholders and negotiate win‑win outcomes.
• Self-motivated, highly organised and able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
