The Manufacturing Engineer provides engineering support to manufacturing operations within the machining business unit, supporting production flow, troubleshooting, process improvements, and the implementation of standardized processes. This role analyzes workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, machine utilization, scrap and rework data, and process performance to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational waste. The Manufacturing Engineer also supports tooling design, production line activities, and engineering projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.
What You Will Do:
Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations by performing technical tasks that support the planning and execution of engineering projects.
Analyze workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization to identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Lead and support process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational waste.
Perform scrap and rework analysis, including data review, root cause identification, and implementation of standardized procedures.
Support tooling design using SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software to meet engineering and manufacturing requirements.
Resolve manufacturing issues to support production flow and minimize disruptions to production operations.
Provide engineering support to production operations, including process support, troubleshooting, machine setup, and root cause analysis within the machining business unit.
Follow up on process improvements to support implementation and sustainment of manufacturing improvements.
Support production line activities and provide technical solutions to manufacturing-related issues.
Communicate effectively in English with internal and corporate stakeholders through in-person interactions, reports, and email.
Travel to the U.S. occasionally as required to support business needs.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field and 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated ability to use advanced formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, nested IF statements), create and analyze pivot tables and charts, and perform data analysis to support business reporting and decision-making.
Hands-on experience using SolidWorks or any 3D CAD software for modeling, drafting, and interpretation of engineering drawings.
1+ year of experience operating, setting up, or troubleshooting soldering equipment or conformal coating processes in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications We Preferred:
1+ year of experience working with engineering documentation, including technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, manufacturing procedures, and product specifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
Project management experience, including planning, execution, and coordination of cross-functional initiatives.
Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
