Data Analyst
Description of Duties
- Apply extensive knowledge and experience to obtain, integrate, and report client data and develop and apply analytic methodologies and principles;
- Lead the application of analytic techniques and help define project objectives and strategic direction;
- Resolve complex problems which require an in-depth knowledge of analytic methodologies and principles;
- Create and promulgate data collection templates, maintain databases, and work with various analytical tools;
- Analyze acquisition data, formulate conclusions and recommendations, design and develop materials, and evaluate effectiveness in accordance with stated guidelines, speculations, and models;
- Conduct research, data gathering, and technical reviews;
- Produce written deliverables to include reports, spreadsheets, databases, formal process mapping, technical design, system testing and implementation activities;
- Troubleshoot issues in reports related to data; assimilate, integrate, and interface technical knowledge with business/system requirements;
- Manage client relationships and expectations
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible for a DHS suitability clearance;
- 2 years of professional experience in the area of data science or data engineering;
- BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, Science (Physics or Chemistry only), or Mathematics with 24 semester credit hours in quantitative analysis;
- Validated analytical, creative, and effective problem solving skills, with the ability to present solutions both in written and oral format;
- Solid understanding of applying mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods to real world problems;
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access
- US Citizenship
- Currently remote
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using R, Tableau, or Power BI
- Active DHS suitability or DoD secret clearance
- Experience with DoD or DHS acquisition programs
