Responsibilities
- Is responsible for assessing and treating patients referred for speech language, hearing and swallowing disorders in a n effective and professional manner.
- Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals, staff and families to ensure quality of care.
- Therapists provide assessment and care for patients of all ages from neonates through the geriatric patients.
- Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Minimum Licensure/Certification Required (if applicable):
- Graduate of an accredited school with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Maryland License to practice Speech pathology
- CPR certified within probationary period.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Two years experience in acute care or rehabilitation setting with an emphasis on adult neurogenic disorders, dysphagia, and communication-cognitive impairments. Adheres to the ASHA Code of Ethics Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends the English language Must be able to work weekends and holidays Must be willing and able to become proficient on basic computer systems utilized for documentation, scheduling and charging systems
