We have an opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Property, Environment & Planning practice in Newcastle or Sydney, working for Partner, Alex Caldwell.
About the team and the work
Join a highly regarded team working on some of the most significant energy, resources and infrastructure projects across New South Wales.
In this role, you will:
Advise clients on a broad range of commercial property, planning, energy and resources matters, with a particular focus on major infrastructure and development projects.
Manage complex property transactions and provide strategic advice,to facilitate significant projects across the state.
Work on matters involving Crown land, water licensing, and rural land issues.
Draft and negotiate a range of commercial agreements and deliver pragmatic, commercially focused advice to clients.
Take carriage of matters from commencement through to completion, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Play an active role in mentoring and developing junior lawyers as the practice continues to grow.
Be part of a collegiate, collaborative and energetic team that values flexibility and supports professional development.
About you
At least 4+ years' post-admission experience gained in a reputable property, planning, infrastructure, energy or resources practice.
Strong knowledge and understanding of NSW property law and experience managing property transactions.
A critical thinker with strong problem-solving and contract drafting skills.
