How You Will Make History Here…
As a Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of the DA & AI team, supporting the design, development, and operation of enterprise data solutions on the Azure Databricks platform. In this role, you will work closely with senior data engineers, solution architects, and business partners to build reliable data pipelines, contribute to analytics-ready data products, and grow your technical skills in a collaborative, learning-focused environment. This position is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to develop hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms at enterprise scale.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with solution architects and senior data engineers to understand data solution designs supporting projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with business stakeholders and analysts to understand data and analytics needs, translating them into technical tasks with guidance.
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines in Azure Databricks for ingestion, transformation, and validation of enterprise data.
- Integrate data from multiple source systems into the Azure data lakehouse using established frameworks and best practices.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, pipeline documentation, and runbooks.
- Participate in code reviews, learning and applying development standards and best practices.
- Support software deployments across development, test, and production environments using CI/CD pipelines.
- Assist with data quality, governance, and cataloging activities in collaboration with Security and Data Governance teams.
- Help transition completed solutions to support teams with appropriate documentation.
- Continuously learn new tools, patterns, and technologies in the data and analytics ecosystem.
- Use Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage work items, track progress, and collaborate with team members.
What You Bring to the Table… (Must Have)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of Azure Databricks, including Python and/or PySpark and Databricks SQL.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
- Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and transformation.
- Exposure to Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly, apply feedback, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have… (Preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to data governance, metadata management, or data catalogs.
- Familiarity with enterprise scheduling or orchestration tools (e.g., Stonebranch or similar).
- Databricks or Azure certifications (completed or in progress).
- Exposure to Snowflake or other cloud data platforms
Prefer candidate to sit in HQ in Camden, NJ but open to fully remote for the right candidate.
Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$110,900-$152,500Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
