What is the opportunity?
As Senior Manager on the Business Managed Solutions team, you would be responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring a team of Senior Operations Analysts who design, implement, and maintain medium to high complexity business managed technology solutions. This role provides strategic oversight of team performance, ensures quality execution of processes and deliverables, and escalates issues appropriately while fostering professional growth. You will coach the team on technical design and development, technical system guides, and end-user guides while partnering with Operations leadership to assess priorities, increase department efficiency, reduce risk, and enrich service. You will manage performance, develop talent, and create a high-performing team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

What will you do?
Team Leadership & Skill Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations analysts, providing coaching on technical skills, professional development, and career growth
- Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to drive team member success
- Build and maintain a collaborative, inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and accountability
- Identify and cultivate emerging talent; prepare team members for advancement opportunities
Solution Development Oversight
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance business managed technology solutions
- Establish and monitor quality standards, ensuring team processes are executed as designed and align with best practices
- Review and validate escalated issues; ensure team resolution adheres to regulatory and firm policy requirements
- Manage team workload, priorities, and resource allocation to meet department objectives
Strategic Partnership & Communication
- Partner with Operations leadership assess priorities within their department, and across Operations as a whole
- Consult with RBC IT, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve systemic and operational challenges
- Provide executive visibility on team performance, risks, and backlog
- Represent the team in firm and industry initiatives, communicating team expertise and capabilities
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent, or High school diploma/equivalent AND 7+ years of securities, banking, technology and/or job-specific industry experience
- 3+ years of people leadership or team management experience
- 3+ years of business process redesign, SQL Server development, robotics & AI, VBA development, MS Access development, analysis and/or risk control experience
- Series 7 or Series 99 or ability to obtain in 120 days
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $90,000 - $160,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
