Applications Support Engineer (Post-Sales)

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Understand the challenges faced by prospects, customers, and the industry in relation to electrical CAD driven software applications
• Address customer issues over the phone, email, chat, and in person
• Supervise progress on customer cases raised to vendors and 3rd party providers
• Build and deliver software solution training and professional services (online and inperson) for customer implementations
• Author blogs, videos, podcasts, and webinars to educate users and provide self-help
• Suggest improvements to customer design and manufacturing processes in the electrical control systems market
• Build new solution definitions to meet customer challenges using electrical design and manufacturing applications
• Drive customer success with excellent customer interactions and experience

YOU HAVE:

• Academic background in Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering
• Previous experience in or with 5+ years of related experience required; working with Electrical design tools in the Enclosure and automation design space is preferred
• Experience with post-sales implementation and support, and applications engineering
• Experience delivering technical support, training, field support, or applications engineering support for software applications. Implementation experience is highly preferred
• Proven experience in programming (.net platform/ VBScript / Python) or project management preferred
• Ability to travel 25% of the time on average with up to 50%
• Experience documenting requirements and proposing solutions with a preference in the electrical or automation space, with any Electrical CAD software. Examples include AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Zuken E3.series, SEE Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical.
• Experience working with standard relational databases like MS SQL, Oracle, SQLite preferred.
• Fluent English & Spanish. Portuguese is a strong asset.

Pay Transparency
 
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. 

Annual Gross Compensation Range:

€47,000.00 - €70,600.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as short or long-term incentives, which are discretionary and governed by the terms of the applicable plan documents.
