Job Description
As a Global Mobility Associate, you will support multinational employers and their internationally mobile employees on Luxembourg personal tax, employment tax and social security matters. Working with clients and colleagues across our global network, you will contribute to compliance and advisory assignments involving international assignments, cross-border working arrangements and employee reward. Through real client work, coaching and feedback, you will build practical knowledge of mobility rules and develop skills in technical research, tax calculations, data analysis, drafting, client communication and cross-border teamwork. You will also gain exposure to tax and mobility technologies, preparing you for a career in global mobility, personal or employment tax, social security, payroll or broader people advisory services.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Preparation of advice on personal tax, employment tax, payroll, social security and reward matters arising from international assignments and cross-border working arrangements.
Analyze employment structures and their Luxembourg tax and social security implications, including relevant market practices and regulatory developments.
Prepare Luxembourg individual income tax returns, tax equalization calculations and social security assessments for internationally mobile employees, and support related client queries.
Play an active role in developing client-focused service offerings aligned with evolving tax and social security regulations.
Prepare Luxembourg individual income tax calculations and comparative tax estimates, taking account of the cross-border circumstances of internationally mobile employees.
Coordinate with Vialto colleagues in other jurisdictions to support the consistent application of international tax treaties and social security rules.
Contribute to technical research, client meetings and the preparation of clear presentations, calculations and written advice.
Qualifications
You have recently graduated from a Master’s degree in Economics or Law, with a specialization in taxation. Any experience in the global mobility field is an asset.
You have a strong interest in individual taxation and compliance and you would like to work on individual tax consulting to individuals and employing companies.
You enjoy working in teams and look for an open-minded and friendly environment.
You have an excellent command of Microsoft Office.
You are fluent in both our working languages French and English. Knowledge of German will be considered an asset.
You have an appetite for numbers and for contact with people from all over the globe.
Accuracy, a critical mind-set and good writing skills are embedded in your DNA as well as a practical and hands-on attitude.
You have a drive and dynamism that contributes to the team spirit.
