Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced Senior Business Process Advisor, who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative team environment and is comfortable supporting a broad range of mission and organizational requirements. The selected candidate will provide business process analysis, governance, administrative, action management, and strategic communications support while serving as a flexible resource and backup across multiple functional areas within the team.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, highly organized professional who can quickly adapt to shifting priorities, identify opportunities for process improvement, communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and independently drive tasks to completion. This role requires strong analytical, organizational, written communication, and coordination skills, as well as the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting senior leadership.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze and improve business and governance processes, identifying opportunities for streamlining, optimization, and increased organizational effectiveness.
- Assess existing workflows and procedures, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and develop recommendations and process improvements aligned with leadership priorities.
- Develop and maintain business processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), governance documentation, and related materials.
- Serve as a team representative and backup for internal action management and tracking, coordinating taskings, collecting stakeholder inputs, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring timely completion of requirements.
- Provide backup support to the Communications Team, developing and coordinating executive-level briefings, dashboards, leadership talking points, scene setters, organizational updates, and other strategic communications.
- Collect weekly highlights from departments; edit submissions for consistency, clarity, and appropriate messaging; and coordinate leadership review and approval prior to release.
- Collaborate with departments to draft internal communications related to office initiatives, accomplishments, leadership priorities, and other office-wide information.
- Plan, schedule, organize, and execute meetings, conferences, working groups, and off-site events, including coordinating agendas, materials, logistics, and follow-up activities.
- Participate in meetings and events as a recorder or working group member, capturing key decisions, action items, and follow-up requirements.
- Brief or present business process, governance, action management, communications, or administrative information to leadership and stakeholders as needed.
- Provide cross-functional support across business process, action management, communications, and administrative functions based on team and mission requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required.
- Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing, documenting, and improving business or organizational processes.
- Experience supporting governance, action management, organizational workflows, or operational activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience developing executive-level briefings, reports, talking points, dashboards, or other leadership products.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate across stakeholders, and independently drive tasks to completion.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt quickly to changing mission requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Confluence, and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting senior leadership.
- Experience with business process improvement, organizational governance, strategic communications, and action management.
- Experience developing organizational metrics, dashboards, executive reporting, and strategic communications products.
- Familiarity with SharePoint or other collaboration, knowledge management, workflow, and action-tracking platforms.
