Job Description:
Let me tell you about the role
Responsible for supporting the plant operation on all works related to maintenance work, troubleshooting, calibration, upgradation and HSSE compliance.
- Mechanical engineers shall cover the scheduled maintenance, critical equipment monitoring & repair of all rotating and static equipment’s.
- Coordinate works for shutdown, MOC and LOTO with other sections to ensure safe and continuous smooth operation.
- Maintaining records on equipment breakdown and propose corrective actions.
- Responsible for effective and efficient use of spare parts and other services.
- Compliance for ISO quality team and ensure maintain all proper service records and calibration activities in the plant.
- Liaison and supervise contractors carry out maintenance works with emphasis on HSSE compliance and DOSH requirements.
- Maintaining equipment breakdown records and providing root cause analysis which covers frequency and propose corrective measures.
- Monitor and update Engineering Manager on identifying area that need improvement in the upkeeping of the plant.
What you will deliver
- This role will be lead for rotating equipment’s which involves blending, filling, fire protection, hot oil system, loading/unloading area and others.
- Key member to support Integrity Management (IM) and ensure critical assets are fit for operation (hot oil system, stack monitoring, hot oil pumps, fire protection pumps).
- Responsible for planned & unplanned maintenance & repair of equipment/system in compliance of HSSE guidelines and procedures.
- To develop critical equipment spare part list, ensure necessary critical spare parts are available in the technical store.
- Maintaining records on equipment breakdowns. Provide analysis on breakdown frequency and propose corrective measures to minimize downtime.
- To ensure that daily checklist, weekly checklist and monthly checklist are carry out as per plan.
- To lead the factory capital project planning, execution, commissioning & testing.
- To involve & support plant Mega project activities which related to maintenance.
Key Challenges :
- To monitor and control unscheduled downtime.
- Monitor and control costs to ensure spending in line with the budget
- Ensure safe, timely and effective delivery of all programs and projects in the plant.
- Ensure effective and efficient operations by meeting agreed KPIs and implement best in class manufacturing actions.
Essential Experience and Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any engineering (Mech preferred)
- 4 to 8 years’ experience on carrying maintenance and other machinery activities
- Understanding the requirement of HSSE pertaining to field work
- Applicants from lubricant industry, Oil & gas industry, FMCG industry, Oleochemical industry are preferred
- Knowledge of OMS framework, HSSE frameworks, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and TS 16949
- Leadership - Possess supervisory and leadership abilities.
- Team working - Considerate of team members; demonstrates positive approach to building team spirit; adaptable and flexible in approach.
- Good learner - continually seeks new skills to improve performance.
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Problem-solving - able to identify risks and take appropriate actions; able to develop and employ a variety of approaches to resolve wide-ranging maintenance problems.
- Willingness to work long hours and public holidays base on work request.
HSSE Accountabilities:
- Comply with all BP’s HSSE policies and procedures including wearing of personal protective equipment; accident, injury, incident and near miss reporting; and the correct use of equipment
- Comply with all HSSE directions of line manager or HSSE manager
- Participate in HSSE training and discussions, workplace inspections and audits, and assist in the resolution of health and safety issues as required
- Contribute to successful implementation of HSSE programmes and initiatives
