As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway—you’ll be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. We’re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’s empowered to be their best.

Who We Are

AP Emissions Technologies provides aftermarket emissions and exhaust solutions for all vehicle classes. With nearly a century of innovation and integrated manufacturing, AP delivers OEM-quality performance, regulatory compliance, and broad product coverage worldwide.

What You’ll Do

As a Production Supervisor, you’ll lead daily production operations and a frontline manufacturing team, with direct accountability for safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery performance. You’ll be responsible for maintaining production flow, allocating resources, managing department KPIs, and driving continuous improvement while keeping safety and quality at the forefront.

This is a hands-on leadership role that will work closely with Scheduling, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and HR to resolve production issues, support new product introductions, and continuously improve how we operate.

Production & Operational Execution

  • Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Monitor department KPIs and production performance, using data to adjust priorities, allocate resources, and maintain production flow.
  • Distribute workloads effectively and adapt to changing production schedules and priorities.
  • Identify and resolve production issues quickly while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Hold the production team accountable for department performance, operational results, and established KPIs.
  • Ensure employees follow SOPs, company standards, and applicable regulations.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Champion a safety-first culture by modeling safe behaviors and reinforcing safe work practices, housekeeping standards, Hazmat requirements, and SOPs.
  • Conduct safety audits, incident reporting, and investigations and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Own production quality performance by monitoring output, addressing deviations in real time, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, security protocols, and protection of company property and intellectual property.

People Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, train, and develop a high-performing production team focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear expectations, provide timely feedback, and support employee development and career growth.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, cross-training, and performance management.
  • Build a safe, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment that supports employee engagement and operational performance.

Continuous Improvement & Communication

  • Lead Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and strengthen operational performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve throughput, material flow, production layouts, and process efficiency while reducing costs and scrap.
  • Monitor and manage production costs, scrap, and material usage to support department performance and profitability.
  • Partner with Scheduling, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and HR to resolve issues and support manufacturing readiness and new product introductions.
  • Communicate production priorities, issues, and performance clearly and proactively to keep teams and stakeholders aligned.

What You’ll Need

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity preferred.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, material flow, and inventory control principles.
  • Experience analyzing production data and using metrics to make operational decisions.
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office; ERP/MRP experience preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Leadership & Communication

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions, prioritize effectively, and remain focused under pressure.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a strong focus on accountability, safety, and team development.

Career Growth

  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Scheduling, HR, and plant leadership.
  • Gain exposure to new product introductions, manufacturing readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop your leadership experience within a growing manufacturing operation.

Benefits & Culture

  • Join a team focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Work in a hands-on manufacturing environment where frontline leadership directly impacts the success of the operation.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Regular standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
