Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist (PRN/ Per- Diem)

 

Location: NovaCare Havre de Grace, MD

 

Compensation: $50.00 - $55.00 /Hr. 

 

Incentives: In-person and online CEU Courses

 

 

 

NOVACARE in Havre de Grace, Maryland, is seeking local Hand Therapists (Occupational Therapists) for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with at least 2 years of hand therapy experience, including splinting and splint fabrication. Additional hand therapists on staff.

 

 

 

Schedule: As needed, per diem hours for coverage. Our center is open as early 7A closing at 7P Monday through Friday. Steady hours may be possible as our referrals grow.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
• Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
• CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
• Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
