As an HCP Contracting Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing the creation, processing, and execution of HCP/HCO contracts using standard templates within the system of record. You will confirm that all contractual documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies and relevant regulations. As an Associate, you will focus on learning and contributing to client engagement and projects while developing your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work. You will be exposed to clients to learn how to build meaningful client connections, manage and inspire others, and grow your personal brand by deepening your technical knowledge of firm services and technology resources.
In this role at PwC Acceleration Center Kuala Lumpur, you will be part of our Risk and Compliance team, focusing on maintaining regulatory compliance and managing risks for clients. Within our Business & Supply Chain Operations practice, you will provide guidance on compliance strategies and help clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes. You will collaborate with business owners, legal teams, and external professionals to support contract lifecycle activities through execution and amendment, confirming precision and attention to detail in handling contract volumes.
Responsibilities
- Managing the lifecycle of HCP/HCO contracts from intake through drafting, redline review, e-signature, and amendments
- Collaborating with business owners, legal teams, and external professionals to support contract lifecycle activities
- Reviewing and proofreading contracts to confirm completeness, accuracy, and alignment with internal policies
- Coordinating the e-signature process and tracking contract status to closure
- Organizing and maintaining contract documentation to be audit-ready
- Applying appropriate contracting workflows based on engagement type, whether cross-border or non-cross-border
- Coordinating with reporting teams to submit contracts for transparency reporting in applicable markets
- Supporting follow-up actions for outstanding contracts and items blocking execution
- Reviewing redline requests to confirm alignment with established standards and submitting to legal teams for review
- Facilitating amendment requests and working with legal teams to obtain approved language or change orders
- Utilizing compliance frameworks and standards to manage regulatory risk and compliance activities
- Conducting risk analysis and monitoring to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues
- Implementing compliance programs and training to enhance adherence to regulatory requirements
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in life sciences, healthcare, or legal/contracting operations; prior experience working with healthcare professionals (HCPs), healthcare organizations (HCOs), or within pharmaceutical, device, or consulting settings preferred.
- 1–5 years of experience in contract management, legal operations, or HCP/HCO engagement within healthcare, life sciences, or consulting
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin/Bahasa Indonesia/Thai/Vietnamese
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks related to HCP/HCO contracting (e.g., Sunshine Act, Anti-Kickback Statute)
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems or similar tools (e.g., Icertis, Conga, Veeva, SAP Ariba, Salesforce, DocuSign).
