Description
The Application Specialist is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise software systems. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and integration of mission-critical business applications supporting financial, operational, and housing management systems. The Application Specialist collaborates with internal IT teams, developers, and third-party vendors to maintain application functionality, resolve technical issues, and support system enhancements that improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and maintenance for enterprise business applications, including financial and housing management systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot application performance issues, system errors, and integration problems.
- Coordinate with software developers, system administrators, and external vendors to resolve application incidents and implement solutions.
- Assist in system integration activities and data workflows between enterprise applications and databases.
- Develop and execute SQL queries to support troubleshooting, reporting, and data validation tasks.
- Monitor application performance and recommend system improvements or optimizations.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, application support procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in system testing, upgrades, and implementation of application enhancements.
- Ensure application support activities comply with security policies, governance standards, and government IT requirements.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience supporting enterprise business applications in a production environment.
