About the Role

The Senior Manager, M&A Finance Integration supports the financial planning, execution, and integration of mergers and acquisitions. Partnering with Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, this role develops financial integration strategies, evaluates transaction and operational risks, supports due diligence, and helps acquired businesses transition to McKesson’s financial processes and systems.

The Senior Manager will oversee finance integration activities across the transaction lifecycle, from pre-close planning through Day 1 readiness and post-close value realization. The role requires strong experience in financial modeling, M&A due diligence, post-merger integration, and executive-level communication.

What You’ll Do

Pre-Close Planning and Due Diligence

• Develop financial integration strategies, roadmaps, governance processes, and readiness plans aligned with transaction objectives.
• Build and evaluate financial models related to integration costs, working capital, synergies, cost savings, and value realization.
• Review historical and projected financial statements, physician compensation arrangements, and operational assumptions.
• Assess target-company financial processes, systems, controls, and reporting capabilities to identify integration risks and dependencies.
• Support financial due diligence and provide input into transaction structures, commercial arrangements, and integration plans.
• Partner with Corporate Development, Operations, Legal, HR, Tax, Compliance, and other stakeholders to address financial and operational risks.

Day 1 and Post-Close Integration

• Lead finance workstreams and readiness activities supporting successful Day 1 execution.
• Establish processes for financial reporting, internal controls, cash management, revenue recognition, expense management, and physician compensation.
• Support the transition of acquired businesses onto McKesson’s financial systems, reporting platforms, and operating processes.
• Manage integration budgets, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Track synergy capture, cost savings, integration performance, and value-realization milestones.
• Partner with Business Unit Finance, Operations, and IT to align forecasting, reporting, analytics, and financial planning.
• Support post-close financial reviews and audits and identify opportunities to improve future integration processes.

Governance and Executive Communication

• Establish integration KPIs, dashboards, governance routines, and escalation processes.
• Lead cross-functional finance integration meetings and communicate progress, decisions, and risks.
• Translate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
• Influence stakeholders across functions to resolve integration issues and maintain accountability.
  
  

Basic Requirements

• Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7 or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience in M&A finance, corporate development, transaction advisory, financial due diligence, corporate finance, or post-merger integration.
• Experience building and analyzing financial models, forecasts, budgets, or valuation analyses.
• Experience reviewing financial statements and assessing financial or operational risks.
• Experience managing multiple cross-functional projects, workstreams, or transaction-related deliverables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial planning, reporting, or analytics tools.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant advanced degree or certification.
• Healthcare, physician-practice, specialty-care, or clinical-operations experience.
• Experience integrating newly acquired businesses into enterprise financial systems and controls.
• Knowledge of synergy tracking, working capital, revenue recognition, physician compensation, tax considerations, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience developing executive presentations, integration dashboards, and KPI reporting.
• Strong stakeholder-management, negotiation, communication, and influencing skills.

Travel, In-Office, and Physical Requirements

• Hybrid work arrangement with a combination of remote and in-office work.
• Ability to travel up to 20% to corporate offices, acquired businesses, and integration sites.
• Ability to perform standard office activities, including extended computer and screen use.
• Additional availability may be needed during critical transaction, closing, and integration periods.

 

This position offers the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement based on recent updates to our in-office/work‑from‑home model.  If located in DFW area, the selected candidate may be expected to work on‑site at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in‑office days may be designated according to team needs and business priorities.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$102,800 - $171,300
