Directs operations of the department responsible for providing environmental services, ensuring departmental alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the organization. Directs the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and strategies for the department.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. College degree OR 7 years of environmental services experience in place of a college degree.
EXPERIENCE:
1.Seven (7) years of housekeeping experience with five (5) years management experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's Degree.

1. Responsible for long range planning and shorter term goal setting for the department.
2. Develops annual goals and objectives for the department based upon institutional needs.
3. Determines the department’s organizational needs in terms of services offered and staffing requirements in accordance with hospital and department missions and goals.
4. Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
5. Responsible for all fiscal matters pertaining to the department.
6. Investigates and addresses escalated complaints regarding poor housekeeping service.
7. Establishes and maintains high expectations for cleanliness and ensure all job assignments are completed while conforming to standards.
8. Develops housekeeping staff through hiring, training, performance management, employee relations, and coaching.
9. Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning of the building to maintain high expectations for facility cleanliness.
10. Maintains relationships with external vendors and internal departments.
