Role summary:As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the delivery of scalable software solutions by managing feature development, testing, and ongoing support within collaborative teams. This role requires expertise in software lifecycle execution, including coding, debugging, and continuous integration, while integrating AI/ML components to enhance platform capabilities. You will contribute to solution design, technical leadership, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure alignment with business objectives. Emphasizing engineering excellence and innovation, you will drive quality, performance, and continuous improvement across software systems to support Walmart’s strategic goals.
About the team:
Walmart International’s Last Mile Delivery team oversees the essential final segment of the supply chain across multiple regions. The team develops scalable, resilient cloud-native software solutions that directly support package delivery to customers. Engineers collaborate to design, build, and maintain platforms using best practices in API design, DevOps, and prototyping. Emphasizing data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement, the team optimizes performance at scale to ensure timely, efficient delivery. This fast-paced environment fosters innovation and operational excellence, enabling the team to meet evolving business needs with technical expertise and a strong delivery focus.
What you'll do:
- Own delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software intelligence and development velocity.
- Participate in solution design, conducting design reviews and ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into technical requirements and measurable success metrics.
- Monitor application performance, conduct maintenance, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Mentor peers, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
