What you bring to SBHG:
Education:
Associate’s degree in a social service field or a minimum of six (6) years of experience in a behavioral health setting
Licensure:
Meets agency driver eligibility criteria
Capital Star: MHRS Certification (can be obtained upon hire)
Compliance & Safety:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Valid California Driver’s License with a driving record that meets company eligibility policies.
How you will make a difference:
This position’s primary role is to triage and respond to phone calls, emails and social media posts for the Community Service program. The Outreach Specialist is primarily responsible for creating and monitoring content and engagement on social media platforms; providing outreach and education about Community Service programs and services to youth and community members; and monitoring and updating community resources.
Division/Program Overview:
Program: Valley Star Community Services One Stop TAY Center provides counseling and an array of supportive mental health, substance abuse, employment and educational services. Center helps young adults ages 16-25 focus on their goals through a variety of services:
Population Served: young adults aged 16-25
Facility & Setting: Services are provided in the office, in-home or in community locations. Amenities like showers, laundry, phone and internet services are available on site.
Clinical Services: Individual and family counseling, Group Counseling, Psychiatric care, Medication management, Crisis intervention services
Skills & Transition: employment and educational services, Housing and vocational support, independent living skills training
Skills & Services: Intense case management, substance abuse services
