Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Ryan Companies is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Minneapolis, MN. This position provides building coverage and support to a class A property and responsibilities include routine and preventive maintenance tasks, housekeeping duties, responding to tenant requests, and supporting the onsite maintenance and management teams.  The position is responsible for providing a safe, productive, comfortable, and clean working environment for building occupants and guests.

Some things you can expect to do:

• Maintain property/building grounds, public areas, parking lots, roof; remove debris on a daily basis; perform seasonal outside duties as required.
• Create work order for deficiencies observed during walk
• Maintain mechanical rooms, and utility rooms an organized and clean condition
• Support maintenance schedules and complete assigned workorders
• Respond to tenant requests
• Assist and coordinate vendors with various services
• Monitoring and reporting slip and trip hazards
• Security checks of locked doors and restricted access points
• Pressure-washing trash rooms and sidewalks
• Replace lamps as required in a timely manner
• Perform general repairs within reasonable expectation

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Excellent verbal communication skills and provide concierge level of service when interacting with building occupants.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED with an ability to perform general handyman repairs.
• You will have a clear driving record, basic knowledge of computer applications, and ability to lift 100 lbs.
• You must also be able to work from a ladder, work overhead, smell smoke and other chemicals and be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions.

You will really stand out if you have:

• An vocational / technical degree.
• Electrical, plumbing and HVAC experience.
• Hospitality and Customer Service Experience

Compensation:

The rate is $27.00 - $32.00 per hour. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
