About Our Client

With a steady pipeline of upcoming projects and ongoing operational needs, our clients are seeking accounting professionals across all levels to support a wide range of functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general accounting, financial reporting, and analysis. These opportunities offer dynamic, fast-paced environments where individuals can contribute meaningfully based on their level of experience, with the ability to make an immediate impact on financial operations and business performance. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable, Receivables & Payroll

• Process invoices, manage payment cycles, and support collections activities while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle billing, account follow-ups, and payroll processing, depending on role requirements and experience level. 

 

General Accounting & Financial Operations

• Perform or review account reconciliations, journal entries, and assist with or lead month-end and year-end processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and the overall integrity of accounting operations.

 

Reporting & Analysis

• Assist with or prepare financial reports, ranging from transactional summaries to full financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance. 

 

Data Management & Systems

• Enter, review, and manage financial data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Utilize accounting systems and tools to ensure data integrity and identify opportunities for process improvements.

 

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and support business needs.
• Communicate financial information clearly and professionally, tailored to both finance and non-finance audiences. 

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Experience may range from 2+ years in transactional accounting to 8+ years in intermediate or senior-level roles.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance is considered an asset.
• Professional designation (CPA or in progress) is an asset for intermediate to senior-level opportunities. 

 

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, or similar) is an asset.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

 

Key Competencies:

• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and environments.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective time management with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
