Job Summary:
Lead the Network Operations Centre (NOC) and act as the Level 3 technical escalation manager to ensure continuous, secure, and high performance network services for mission critical environments. You will own incident escalation, problem management, capacity planning, technical change review, operational automation and team development.Job Duties:
Responsibilities
- NOC Leadership and Team Development: Manage 24x7 NOC operations, shift rosters and on-call rotations to ensure timely incident response and service availability, while developing NOC capabilities through competency frameworks, training programs, and succession planning.
- Level‑3 escalation: Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex incidents; lead major incident response and coordinate cross‑team remediation.
- Problem management: Drive root‑cause analysis, permanent fixes and post‑incident reviews; maintain incident playbooks and RCA records.
- Capacity and performance: Own capacity planning, trend analysis and forecasting; recommend scaling and optimization to meet SLAs.
- Technical change governance: Chair technical change reviews; assess risk, validate rollback plans and approve operational readiness.
- Act as the operational gatekeeper for project handover, production readiness assessment.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives, automation adoption and continuous improvement across Network Operations services.
- Documentation and configuration: Maintain accurate network diagrams, asset inventories, configuration baselines and runbooks.
- Service Management and SLA Governance: Drive service performance, KPI/SLA compliance, and continuous improvement through effective reporting and dashboarding.
- Stakeholder and vendor management: Liaise with business units, vendors and third‑party providers; present operational KPIs to senior management.
- Risk and compliance: Ensure operations comply with ITIL, ISO 27001 and other relevant standards; participate in DR/BC drills and meet RTO/RPO targets.
Qualifications and experience
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in network engineering and operations; minimum 5 years in a technical team lead role.
- Technical skills: Deep expertise in routing, switching, WAN/LAN, firewall, load balancer, low‑latency networking, network management tools.
- Operational experience: Proven track record managing 24x7 NOC, major incident handling, capacity planning and change control in large, mission‑critical environments.
- Experience with network observability and monitoring platforms
- Frameworks: Sound knowledge of ITIL, ISO 27001.
- Communication: Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and technical writing skills.
Preferred attributes
- Experience supporting exchange, trading, clearing or other mission-critical financial market infrastructure.
- Background in low‑latency trading networks or high‑performance network operational support.
- Automation and programmability experience (Ansible, Python) is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications (CCNP/CCIE, ITIL Practitioner, CISSP).
