We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's collaborative and high-performing team. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the full accounting cycle, lead complex reporting and compliance workflows, and serve as a trusted advisor to varied clientele. Beyond day-to-day accounting, you will play an active role in coaching junior team members, identifying value-add opportunities for clients, and shaping financial strategies that drive business growth.
Requirements:
- Designation: Completed Finance Degree
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of total accounting experience
- Tax & Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of South African tax law (VAT applicability/exemptions, corporate income tax, provisional tax, deferred tax) and financial ratio analysis.
- Systems Proficiency: Solid practical experience with SARS eFiling, easyFile, MS Excel, and accounting platforms such as Xero, Pastel Partner, Pastel Evolution, or Sage VIP Payroll.
- Mobility: Valid South African Driver’s Licence.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong numerical reasoning, prompt communication turnaround, and high objective judgement.
