What are you going to do?

As our new Accounting and Tax Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of tax accounting and reporting activities for French entities. Operating within a Shared Service Center environment, you will oversee outsourced tax activities, review critical tax deliverables, and lead complex tax accounting matters related to corporate tax, deferred taxes, investments, dividends, management fees, and exceptional transactions. You will work closely with Finance teams, Shared Service Centers, external providers, auditors, and the Group Tax Department to ensure compliance with local tax obligations and high-quality financial reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and reviewing corporate income tax calculations, tax proofs, current and deferred tax calculations, tax provisions, and tax reconciliations.
• Managing local tax compliance activities, including corporate income tax returns, VAT declarations, tax schedules, supporting documentation, and filing deadlines.
• Ensuring accurate tax accounting, including tax-related journal entries, deferred tax accounting, period-end adjustments, and the accounting treatment of complex tax transactions.
• Supporting accounting and tax treatments related to investments, dividends, acquisitions, disposals, restructuring activities, and other exceptional transactions.
• Overseeing management fee processes and intercompany transactions, including recharge calculations, tax implications, and reconciliation of intercompany discrepancies.
• Reviewing and supervising tax-related activities performed by Shared Service Center teams and external service providers, ensuring quality, accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
• Supporting internal controls, tax audits, external audits, documentation requirements, and collaboration with the Group Tax Department on tax reporting and compliance matters.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate combines strong technical tax expertise with solid accounting knowledge and the ability to operate effectively in an international and shared services environment. You are a proactive professional with excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills, capable of managing complex tax and accounting topics while working collaboratively across multiple teams and locations.

You will have relevant experience in a similar role, preferably holding a Master's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Audit, or a related field.

• 6 to 10 years of experience in corporate tax, accounting, audit, or tax advisory roles.
• Strong expertise in corporate income tax, tax accounting, tax reporting, and tax compliance.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial closing processes, and deferred tax accounting.
• Experience preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and tax provisions.
• Proven experience supervising outsourced activities, Shared Service Centers, or external service providers.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience within a multinational company or Big Four environment is considered an advantage.
• Fluent French and English are required.
