Position: Technical Project Lead
Location: San Diego, CA (Remote)
Security Clearance: Active DOD Secret
Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Project Lead with a strong background in low voltage and mechanical equipment, specializing in access control and intrusion detection systems to support our DoD client. This role demands a dedicated leader who can manage, mentor, and motivate a team to design and implement efficient, cost-effective technical solutions. The ideal candidate will combine extensive technical knowledge with exceptional personnel management skills to ensure project success, safety compliance, and team growth.
Responsibilities:
• Team and Personnel Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of technicians, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Organize and delegate project tasks, manage team schedules, and provide guidance to ensure all team members are productive and engaged.
• Technical Project Leadership: Design and organize comprehensive installation plans for Government Grade theft, fire, and access systems. Strategically supervise the team's work, ensuring the successful installation of high and low voltage AC/DC currents.
• System Implementation and Maintenance: Provide Hands-On guidance for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various products and equipment, including cameras, intrusion detection systems, and access gates. Direct the team in performing periodic and planned maintenance to ensure system reliability and longevity.
• Technical Expertise & Standards: Act as the primary point of contact for technical issues, developing creative and efficient solutions to complex problems related to security systems. Provide expert troubleshooting for electrical and pneumatic systems. Oversee the creation of manuals and standard work for new systems and ensure accurate maintenance of machine schematics.
• Safety & Compliance Oversight: Ensure the team's adherence to all building and fire codes. Be responsible for identifying, designing, and fabricating mechanical safety systems, while maintaining accurate records for operational excellence and company audits.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Current Active Secret Clearance
• Extensive experience in a technical lead or foreman role.
• Proven ability to manage and lead a team in the installation and maintenance of security systems.
• Extensive experience with manufacturers and systems such as Hirsch, Lenel, Axis, Velocity, Magnasphere, Milestone, DMP & ACE.
• Expertise in the support and repair of electrical, mechanical, and low voltage equipment.
• Demonstrated team leadership and personnel management abilities. Experience with high and low voltage AC/DC currents.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills for complex issues.
• Ability to obtain and maintain current Industry Certifications:
o California Life and Safety Technician
o OSHA Safety Standards.

o DMP
