Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience

Are you an experienced Semi Senior Accountant looking for your next opportunity within a friendly and established accountancy practice?

A well-established independent accountancy practice in York is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to join their team following the departure of an existing member of staff.

This is a varied role suited to someone with solid practice experience who enjoys working across accounts, VAT and bookkeeping and is looking for a position where they can make a genuine contribution to the wider team.

Responsibilities of the Semi Senior Job:

• Preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns

• Providing bookkeeping services and maintaining accurate financial records

• Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting queries

• Working closely with colleagues across the practice

• Managing your own workload and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time

• Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients

Requirements of the Semi Senior Job:

• Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice

• Good experience across accounts, VAT and bookkeeping

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good communication and client relationship skills

• The ability to manage your own workload effectively

• A proactive and reliable approach
