Walmart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions aligned with platform and business objectives. About the team:
The Global Security & Investigations Technology team develops intelligent, scalable platforms that enable Walmart to anticipate, prevent, and respond to security and operational risks. Leveraging AI-driven innovation and resilient engineering, the team empowers investigators, security operators, and aviation units with advanced technology to enhance decision-making, automate workflows, and strengthen compliance. The Global Governance team leads company-wide security applications, standards, and processes, delivering high-quality solutions through collaborative engineering. Members contribute to design, development, and deployment while mentoring peers and partnering across functions to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence worldwide.
What you'll do:

• Own delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams, ensuring alignment with platform and system goals.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Integrate AI/ML components and leverage GenAI tools to enhance software capabilities and development efficiency.
• Participate in solution design, conduct code reviews, and apply sound technical judgment to build scalable, secure systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Monitor application performance, support defect resolution, and promote continuous improvement and innovation.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, Python, Node, Java, Typescript.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices.
• Proven ability to deliver scoped features and manage full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Demonstrated skills in integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development.
• Solid understanding of platform design, iterative development, and technical solution design aligned with business goals.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and technical leadership within engineering teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
