Sr. Commercial Insurance Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial insurance accounts and deliver exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of commercial insurance products, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to meeting client needs. This role is critical in driving client satisfaction and supporting business growth.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, building strong relationships and ensuring outstanding customer service.
- Assess clients' insurance needs and provide tailored recommendations for coverage options that align with their business objectives.
- Prepare, review, and manage all documentation related to policy renewals, endorsements, claims, and audits.
- Identify opportunities for account growth by cross-selling or upselling additional insurance products, fostering long-term client loyalty.
- Partner with underwriters to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and conditions for clients.
- Assist clients with claims processing, acting as their advocate to secure timely and fair resolutions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to ensure compliance and expertise in commercial insurance matters.
- Train and mentor junior account managers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Continuously seek process improvements to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in commercial insurance account management or a related field.
- Licensing: Valid insurance license (Property & Casualty required).
- Demonstrated expertise in analyzing, negotiating, and managing complex commercial insurance programs.
- Strong proficiency in insurance agency management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with a client-first mindset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
- Familiarity with a wide range of industries and their unique insurance needs is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced certifications such as CIC, CPCU, or ARM are highly desirable.
- Experience with claims handling and risk management consultation.
