Role summary:The Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related building equipment to ensure optimal facility operations. This role involves interpreting technical documentation, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and control issues, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The technician collaborates with management and facility partners to coordinate service activities, maintain accurate records, and support operational efficiency. This position requires effective communication, adherence to company protocols, and participation in on-call rotations to address facility needs beyond regular hours.

What you'll do:
- Install HVAC systems, ductwork, control components, and related building equipment following technical documentation and codes.
- Configure and calibrate building automation systems, direct digital controls, and low-ambient HVAC applications to meet standards.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure system operation and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, parts usage, and work orders using digital tools.
- Adhere to safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies during all service activities.
- Communicate effectively with facility operators and management regarding service needs.
- Join on-call rotations, manage service calls within assigned regions, including safe vehicle operation.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation to ensure accurate installations.
- Skilled in configuring and calibrating building automation and direct digital control systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic capabilities for HVAC equipment and facility systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and adherence to safety protocols during all service activities.
- Proficient in performing preventive maintenance and system inspections to optimize equipment performance.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with facility operators and management.
- Competence in using digital tools for work order management, scheduling, and documentation.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling- equipment, or related trades.
Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
