Massage Therapist

At Tru Massage Therapy (TMT) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, we care for the whole person. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team and provide therapeutic bodywork that helps clients heal, relax, and restore balance to their daily lives.

About the Role

As a Licensed Massage Therapist with TMT, you will deliver individualized massage treatments tailored to each client's needs and wellness goals. You will work in a calm, professional environment where your clinical knowledge and genuine care for people shape every session. The ideal candidate brings warmth, attentiveness, and strong technical skill to each appointment, building trust with clients who return because they feel heard and cared for.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of massage techniques, including sports, deep tissue, and therapeutic modalities, based on client assessments and preferences.
• Conduct intake conversations to understand each client's health history, areas of discomfort, and desired outcomes.
• Develop and adjust treatment approaches to support pain relief, stress reduction, and improved mobility.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting treatment plans and progress.
• Educate clients on self-care practices, stretches, and follow-up recommendations that extend the benefits of each session.
• Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and welcoming, following all sanitation and safety standards.
• Communicate openly with colleagues to coordinate care and contribute to a supportive team atmosphere.
• Manage scheduling and session timing to provide a consistent, unhurried experience for every client.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist who combines professional credentials with a sincere desire to help others feel their best. A current license to practice massage therapy in South Dakota is required, along with completion of an accredited massage therapy program.

• Active and valid license as a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of South Dakota or intern if currently attending massage school.
• Proficiency in multiple massage modalities and the judgment to adapt techniques to individual needs.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications relevant to safe practice.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen carefully and respond with empathy.
• Professionalism, discretion, and respect for client confidentiality.
• Physical stamina to perform hands-on treatments throughout the workday.
• Reliability and a collaborative spirit that strengthens the team.
