The Milk Technician supports the organization's mission by providing patient-centered care through the safe preparation of infant formula and human milk for a level III NICU. Key responsibilities include:

• Interpreting technical physician orders and ensuring accurate dosing.
• Maintaining aseptic conditions in the preparation room and ensuring safe operation of equipment.
• Managing supply inventory, training new staff, and adhering to all policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

 

• Six months of healthcare experience in formula room or infant pediatric formula preparation preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required 
• Candidates must demonstrate mathematical proficiency, organizational abilities, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Technical requirements include spreadsheet, word processing, and email knowledge.
• Completion of a formal technician training program is required within 12 weeks of hire.

 

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
