About the Role
The Medical Assistant II plays a key role in delivering high‑quality, standardized patient care across multiple clinic locations within the region. This position provides both clinical and administrative support, traveling regularly between designated clinics to ensure consistent workflows, optimized patient access, and adherence to clinical pathways.
Working under the supervision of a physician or licensed provider, the Medical Assistant II partners with multidisciplinary teams to support efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and a consistent patient experience. This role requires adaptability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to integrate quickly into varying clinical environments.
How will you make an impact & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Patient Care
Travel to assigned clinics to provide direct clinical support based on operational needs and patient volumes.
Room patients, obtain vital signs, review medications and health history, and prepare patients for exams and procedures.
Perform patient outreach, follow‑ups, documentation updates, order preparation, and referral coordination.
Support implementation of standardized clinical pathways across multiple outpatient locations.
Regional Clinical Pathway Support
Serve as a clinical resource to promote consistency in care processes and documentation standards.
Assist clinic teams with workflow transitions and process improvement initiatives.
Monitor for gaps in visit preparation, documentation, care coordination, and pathway compliance.
Collaborate with clinic leadership to identify workflow opportunities and support standardization.
Clinic Operations & Readiness
Maintain exam rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies in a clean and patient‑ready condition.
Support medication, vaccine, and supply management workflows.
Ensure adherence to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements across assigned clinics.
Adapt quickly to differing clinic workflows while maintaining organizational standards.
Team Support & Collaboration
Build strong working relationships with providers, nurses, and support staff across multiple clinic locations.
Promote a positive patient experience and foster teamwork across regional operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
Working knowledge of patient rooming, documentation, infection control, specimen handling, and point‑of‑care testing.
Experience using EHR systems; Athena experience is a plus.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Strong communication, prioritization, and patient service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage recurring clinical support tasks.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Willingness to travel regularly between clinic locations.
Flexibility to support varying clinic schedules and regional priorities.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
