About this Position
Primerica is seeking an experienced and technical Vice President of Infrastructure & Operations to lead the strategy, engineering, delivery, and ongoing operation of the company's infrastructure platforms and technology services. This role is responsible for enterprise hosting, cloud services, storage, networking, telecommunications, end-user computing, messaging and collaboration platforms, workplace technology services, disaster recovery, and infrastructure operations. The Vice President will ensure technology services are secure, resilient, scalable, and cost-effective while supporting business growth, operational excellence, and technology modernization initiatives.This position is based at Primerica's Duluth, Georgia headquarters and follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation of onsite presence approximately 2-3 days per week. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
The salary range for this role is $195,000 - $230,000.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Develop and execute an enterprise infrastructure and operations strategy aligned with business objectives, technology modernization efforts, and long-term architectural direction.
- Lead the design, delivery, and operation of highly available infrastructure services, including compute, storage, virtualization, cloud, network, and telecommunications platforms.
- Oversee end-user computing and workplace technology services, including endpoint management, desktop engineering, mobility, service desk, and employee productivity solutions.
- Direct enterprise messaging, collaboration, and communication platforms, ensuring secure, reliable, and highly available services for employees and field representatives.
- Lead 24x7 infrastructure operations, including service delivery, incident management, problem management, monitoring, operational readiness, and continuous service improvement.
- Drive automation, operational efficiency, and service management maturity through ITSM best practices and process optimization.
- Establish infrastructure capacity planning, performance management, and technology lifecycle strategies to ensure scalability, reliability, and operational resilience.
- Partner with Information Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure infrastructure platforms meet security, regulatory, and resiliency requirements.
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and execution to minimize operational risk and downtime.
- Manage infrastructure financial planning, budgets, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and strategic technology partnerships.
- Build and develop high-performing technology teams while fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with business and technology leaders to identify infrastructure needs and deliver technology solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years of progressive infrastructure leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Deep experience leading enterprise infrastructure organizations across hosting, cloud, networking, telecommunications, end-user computing, messaging, collaboration, workplace technology, and disaster recovery disciplines.
- Expertise in enterprise infrastructure technologies including Windows and Linux platforms, IBM Power Systems, virtualization technologies, x86 server environments, cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), enterprise storage, networking, identity services, messaging systems, and collaboration platforms.
- Strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM service management practices, operational governance, infrastructure security controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience leading large-scale infrastructure and operations teams supporting mission-critical business environments with high availability and service level commitments.
- Demonstrated success implementing service management, automation, operational excellence, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Strong financial management, vendor management, and contract negotiation experience.
- Experience developing leaders, building high-performing teams, and leading through organizational and technology transformation.
- Excellent communication, executive presence, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting large-scale financial services or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience leading hybrid cloud transformation and enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, collaboration technologies, and modern workplace platforms.
- Advanced degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
