Description
Position : Commissioning Engineer
Industry : Oil & Gas
Employment Type : Contract (1 year)
Location : Kuala Lumpur
Job Scope(s):
- Develop system definitions and prepare testing and commissioning procedures, including handover requirements and acceptance criteria, for incorporation into the Commissioning Manual.
- Plan, organise, coordinate, and monitor testing and commissioning activities at project sites.
- Develop and review commissioning procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and company requirements.
- Coordinate with project, construction, hook-up, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth execution of commissioning activities.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues encountered during system testing, start-up, and commissioning.
- Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures, project schedules, and relevant HSE requirements.
- Support system handover and acceptance activities, ensuring the required documentation and deliverables are completed.
Requirement(s):
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in a similar role or capacity.
- Relevant experience in construction, hook-up, and commissioning activities for oil and gas projects.
- Proven experience in developing testing and commissioning procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in resolving start-up and commissioning issues.
- Good knowledge of company guidelines, standards, and procedures related to commissioning.
- Good coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
