Job Description
As a Security Guard Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the data center interior, exterior, perimeter, access points, parking areas, and critical infrastructure areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and authorized entry procedures in accordance with site requirements; verify credentials and direct visitors and contractors as needed.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced technology environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
