Key Responsibilities
Patrol assigned areas of the healthcare facility on foot to ensure safety and security
Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive/restricted areas
Control access by verifying identification and visitor credentials
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, including disturbances or medical emergencies
De-escalate conflicts using calm and professional communication
Write clear and detailed incident and daily activity reports
Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general inquiries
Enforce facility policies and procedures in a respectful and professional manner
Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary
Monitor CCTV systems and other security equipment

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
CPR and First Aid certification required
Previous security experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Basic computer skills for report writing and monitoring systems
Clean background check and drug screening required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Hospital or healthcare campus setting
Requires walking, standing, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
May include evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts
Exposure to sensitive and emotional situations common in healthcare environments
