The WNC Agricultural Center is a self-supporting, multi-use complex that operates 364 days per year. The primary purpose of the facility is to serve the horse/ livestock and trade show industries and meet the needs of both the agricultural and non-agricultural community by providing and maintaining buildings and grounds capable of hosting equine events, trade shows, conventions, seminars, community events, and public expos, as well as carrying out all activities of the annual North Carolina Mountain State Fair. The North Carolina Mountain State Fair serves the agricultural, manufacturing, commercial, educational, governmental, and other agencies across the State and its visitors.

This position is to provide management of the administrative functions of the Western NC Agricultural Center Exposition Section, which includes Virginia Boone Meeting Center, Davis Event Center, Expo Building, and the NC Mountain State Fair, and to assume duties of the WNC Agricultural Center Manager in the Manager’s absence. This position has the responsibility of overseeing the operating, continuation, expansion, and capital improvement budgets; daily administrative functions include the oversight of sponsorships, purchasing, exposition facility rentals, advertising and promotion, and competitive exhibits; and supervision of administrative staff. There is a lot of variety and responsibility in this position, and we are looking for an excited candidate with a desire to learn all the position and center have to offer to join our team!

Recruitment Range: $60,881 - $95,000
