Title: Part-Time Student - Maintenance Engineering - 123443
Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position
## Your Responsibilities
As a Part Time Student Maintenance Engineering for JD Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will:
- Support maintenance engineers in identifying and implementing equipment reliability and continuous improvement projects.
- Assist with preventive maintenance (PM) reviews, PM optimization efforts, and maintenance strategy development.
- Analyze maintenance data using SAP, Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Help maintain equipment asset records, bills of material (BOMs), spare parts information, and technical documentation.
- Support maintenance cost reduction initiatives through data collection, analysis, and project execution.
- Partner with skilled trades personnel, planners, operations, and engineering teams to improve equipment uptime and maintainability.
- Develop visual management tools, reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate project progress and key performance metrics.
- Support maintenance inventory and indirect material optimization initiatives.
- Assist with energy reduction and facility improvement projects.

## What Skills You Need
- Ideally, you will be pursuing a degree in Engineering; others may apply
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn manufacturing and maintenance engineering principles.
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S./local accredited college/university
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
- Work 30-40 hours/week during the summer semester
- Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, IA basis year-round (NOTE: Relocation assistance is not provided.)
