Description
The Key Account Manager – Direct Sales role is a revenue-generating sales position focused on driving new business acquisition, expanding existing customer relationships, and increasing market penetration
This is a highly sales-driven role with a strong focus on:
Direct sales activities
New business development
Customer acquisition
Pipeline generation
Revenue growth
Cross-selling and upselling
Territory expansion
The successful candidate must be a proactive hunter-type salesperson who is comfortable prospecting, cold calling, generating leads, closing deals, and building long-term customer relationships within a competitive ICT and telecommunications environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Direct Sales & New Business Development
Actively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Generate new sales through direct prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and customer engagement activities.
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Drive revenue growth across Fibre, Wireless, Voice, Cloud, PBX, and related ICT solutions.
Conduct sales presentations, customer meetings, and solution demonstrations.
Prepare and present professional proposals, quotations, and commercial solutions.
Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements within approved parameters.
Close deals profitably and in line with company objectives.

2. Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong customer relationships across new and existing accounts.
Grow and expand revenue within existing customer environments.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
Identify upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion opportunities.
Support customer retention and renewal initiatives.
Resolve customer concerns and escalate service-related issues where required.
Conduct regular customer visits within the assigned territory.

3. Pipeline Management & Reporting
Maintain an accurate and healthy sales pipeline.
Ensure all opportunities and customer interactions are updated on the CRM system.
Provide accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reporting.
Submit regular activity reports and sales updates to management.
Maintain high levels of CRM data integrity and reporting accuracy.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements
Required Minimum Education / Training
Minimum Matric qualification
3–5 years proven direct sales experience within ICT or telecommunications
Degree/Diploma in Sales, Business, IT, or Telecommunications will be advantageous
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Knowledge of Fibre, Wireless, Voice, PBX, Cloud, and ICT solutions
Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital collaboration tools
