As a business analysis manager on the GSC Sourcing Finance team, you will serve as a strategic finance partner supporting sourcing, planning, and supply chain leaders across direct and indirect spend categories. This role is responsible for delivering financial insights, business cases, forecasting, savings governance, and decision support that help Starbucks optimize costs, improve profitability, and execute enterprise savings priorities.
This position sits at the intersection of finance, sourcing, and operations. Success in this role requires strong financial acumen, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence cross-functional partners to drive meaningful business outcomes.

Strategic Business Partnership & Advisory
- Partner with sourcing, planning, supply chain, and finance leaders to evaluate business opportunities, risks, and trade-offs.
- Provide financial leadership and decision support for sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, productivity initiatives, and enterprise investments.
- Influence strategic decisions through data-driven recommendations and thoughtful analysis.
Savings & Value Management
- Provide financial governance for sourcing savings, cost transformation, and value delivery initiatives.
- Partner with sourcing teams to validate savings methodologies, business cases, and actualized financial results.
- Ensure consistency in savings tracking, pipeline management, and reporting across multiple business stakeholders.
Analytics & Insights
- Translate complex financial and operational data into meaningful business insights.
- Develop and maintain analytical models, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools that enhance visibility into spend, cost drivers, savings performance, and operational metrics.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and proactively communicate recommendations to leadership.
Process Improvement & Capability Building
- Drive continuous improvement of financial planning, reporting, governance, and analytics processes.
- Leverage automation, data tools, and technology solutions to improve efficiency and decision quality.

- Performs complex financial analysis, financial analysis, modeling, budgeting and business planning - 7 years
o Creating business cases to justify net savings to the business unit
o Understanding business case impacts on business unit’s P&L and financial budget and targets
o Understanding business case impacts on product COGS, product margin and overall supply chain network implications
o Driving decision making with Sourcing Partners to assess margin and working capital impact to provide recommendations during supplier negotiations supporting the best contract value.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross functional teams
- Contributing to and leading cross-functional teams - 5 years
- Making recommendations to and influencing decision makers supporting supplier negotiations - 5 years
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to present information to senior leaders
- Ability to influence without authority vertically and horizontally throughout the organization and with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lead others and provide feedback across internal and external teams
- Strong financial governance awareness over financial plan savings reporting
- Advanced Excel, statistical analysis and financial modeling skills
- Experience with data visualization tools like Incorta, PowerBI, etc.
- Working knowledge of Anaplan for financial plan forecasting and reporting
- Business analysis skills, with the ability to see implications and provide consultative solutions and recommendations
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects
- Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, retail, manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods industries.
- Experience managing enterprise savings programs or large-scale cost transformation initiatives.
- Experience with Anaplan, Oracle, SAP, Power BI, Tableau, or similar planning and analytics platforms.
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
