GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- Responsible in the development of safety and health rules and safe systems at workplace.
- Review the effectiveness of safety and health programmes.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Carry out studies on the trends of accident, near-miss accidents, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease which occurs at the workplace, and shall report to the employer of any unsafe or unhealthy condition or practices at the place of work together with condition practices at the work place together with recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
- Review the safety and health policies at the workplace and make recommendations to the employer for any revision of such policies.
- To create safety awareness amongst the staff.
- To liaise with DOSH, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, local authority etc. for OSH related issues and licenses.
- To work closely with Healthcare Engineering Services (HES) for any activities related to OSH activities.
- Plan and assist in managing the Services budget.
- To participate in the quality activities as when required.
- To conduct periodically HSE meeting and to sit in relevant meetings as when required.
- To perform any other duties as and when required by the management.
- OSH Act & Regulations 1994.
- Responsible and accountable to carry out duties as an employee as stipulated in OSH Act and Regulations 1994.
- To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons.
- To cooperate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty.
- To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer.
- To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health
- Any other responsibilities that have been stipulated in the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Minimum: Obtain a certificate from National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and Greenbook.
Experience Required:
- Minimum: 2 years relevant experience.
Personal attributes:
- Good communication skills, able to write and converse well in English and Malay.
- Good computer knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Hardworking, discipline and possesses high level of integrity.
- Knowledgeable and having strong commitment towards job responsibilities.
