Director of Operations

Location: Greater Lafayette, LA (Travel Required)

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead our regional operations, develop high-performing leaders, and drive continued growth across our gaming locations.

Position Summary

The Director of Operations is responsible for leading the operational performance of Toucan Gaming's truck stop gaming locations and route operations throughout Louisiana. This executive leadership role oversees Regional Operations Managers and provides strategic direction to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is an experienced operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location environment and has a proven history of developing teams, improving processes, and achieving business objectives.

What You'll Do

As Director of Operations, you will:

• Lead and mentor Regional Operations Managers while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Develop operational strategies, policies, and procedures that support company goals and long-term growth.
• Monitor operational performance, analyze results, and implement improvements to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to establish budgets, performance goals, and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure all gaming operations comply with company policies, Louisiana Gaming regulations, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
• Partner with Human Resources on employee relations, performance management, coaching, disciplinary matters, and talent development.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing operational leadership.
• Create and maintain effective communication across all operational teams.
• Evaluate operational processes and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Promote Toucan Gaming's core values while maintaining a positive, professional, and service-focused culture.
• Travel regularly throughout Louisiana to support multiple gaming locations.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Hospitality, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and casino operations experience.
• 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience, including:
  • Managing direct reports
  • Leading supervisors and managers
  • Multi-site operational management
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience developing operational policies, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business software.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Valid Louisiana driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required Louisiana gaming licenses and permits.
• Ability to relocate or commute to the greater Lafayette, Louisiana area.

Travel Requirements

• Frequent travel throughout Louisiana is required.
• Occasional overnight travel should be expected.

Base Pay Range:

$80,000 - $90,000
