Description
- Plan and direct all aspects of the Company's operational policies, objectives, and initiatives.
- Measure and interpret the effectiveness of all related processes. Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating condition of the Company.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement plans based upon the Company's goals, objectives, and KPI's.
- Establishes detail planning of manufacturing sequences and furnishes detail operating instructions to production personnel.
- Ensure Material Management is appropriately managed including but not limited to adherence to Supplier On time delivery, Inventory turns, and cash flow goals.
- Ensure that each department is properly staffed, organized, and directed to fulfill its responsibilities.
- Lead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
- Works with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to ensure that FAI and ODD dates are successfully achieved.
- Responsible for implementing and enforcing company operating standards in conjunction with adherence with Quality Management System (QMS).
Management and Development of People:
- Provides leadership and direction throughout the manufacturing organization.
- Sets clear and reasonable expectations and provides the necessary tools and training to ensure success.
- Regularly communicates company and departmental direction and objectives.
Financial Management:
- Understands the key performance indicators that leverage the business.
- Develops, manages and approves department budgets and expenditures.
- Responsible for driving the Company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
- Leads Continuous Improvement and lean activities of diverse scope and complexity to improve the efficiency of systems and processes in the division and/or with suppliers and customers.
- Support Facility-wide Flow and product family future state development / implementation.
- Responsible for maximizing efficiently of facility layout as measured by revenue per square foot.
- Stimulates management thinking about CI and new initiatives; seeks out and pilots new tools; and demonstrates the successful application of new methodologies.
- Educates team members, suppliers, and customers about CI philosophies and Lean Enterprise methods.
Experience:
- 8 years of aerospace management experience.
- Proven ability to implement Lean Management Systems.
- Analytical based problem solving skills.
- Experience in a high mix, low volume environment.
- Strong verbal communication and experience facilitating team-based process improvement activities.
- Computer Skill: Experienced skills in Microsoft Office (including: Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Master's degree.
- 10 years of leading manufacturing operations.
- Lean certification.
- Six Sigma Green/Black belt experience.
- Experience in high precision manufacturing including phenolic composite assemblies.
- One Safran operating system.
- APICS Certification (CPIM).
